Descripció:: A pesar del alto número de inmigrantes marroquíes en España, pocos estudios han investigado el vínculo entre el uso de la lengua de esta comunidad y la formación de identidad (García-Sánchez 2014). Con el fin de realizar un acercamiento a la cuestión de la formación de la identidad y para entender mejor cómo la población migrante de origen marroquí negocia sus identidades se han analizado datos de dos entrevistas semiestructuradas, realizadas a dos hermanos marroquíes residentes en Granada, España. Para la elaboración del análisis se ha utilizado el marco teórico del chronotope de Bakhtin (1981), posteriormente desarrollado por Blommaert y De Fina (2017). Se pretende demostrar que los dos hermanos negocian sus identidades mediante configuraciones espaciotemporales, vinculando sus prácticas discursivas con las conexiones socio-históricas entre al-Andalus y el mundo arabófono. Los resultados indican que, efectivamente, se puede usar varias configuraciones espaciotemporales en la negociación de identidad de los informantes. Es más, estas configuraciones sirven para negociar o apoyar sus prácticas multilingües en una sociedad principalmente monolingüe.; Despite the large number of Moroccan immigrants in Spain, f ew studies have examined the role of identity in language use of this community (García-Sánchez 2014). Con el fin de realizar un acercamiento a la cuestión de la formación de la identidad y para entender mejor cómo la población migrante de origen marroquí negocia sus identidades se han analizado datos de dos entrevistas semiestructuradas, realizadas a dos hermanos marroquíes residentes en Granada, España. Para la elaboración del análisis se ha utilizado el marco teórico del chronotope de Bakhtin (1981), posteriormente desarrollado por Blommaert y De Fina (2017). Se pretende demostrar que los dos hermanos negocian sus identidades mediante configuraciones espaciotemporales, vinculando sus prácticas discursivas con las conexiones socio-históricas entre al-Andalus y el mundo arabófono. Los resultados indican que, efectivamente, se puede usar varias configuraciones espaciotemporales en la negociación de identidad de los informantes. Es más, estas configuraciones sirven para negociar o apoyar sus prácticas multilingües en una sociedad principalmente monolingüe.</dc:description>

To address this gap, the current case study analyzes identity construction in two semi-structured interviews with two Moroccan brothers living in Granada, Spain to understand how they negotiate their identities based on spatiotemporal configurations. I employ Bakhtin's construct of chronotope, which was later developed by Blommaert and De Fina (2017), to understand how the brothers' social identities are negotiated using socio-historical connections between the Arab world and al-Andalus. The results show that identities are socially constructed using various spatiotemporal configurations. Furthermore, these configurations serve to negotiate and support multilingual practices in a predominandy monolingual society.</dc:description>

13. <mods:abstract>A pesar del alto número de inmigrantes marroquíes en España, pocos estudios han investigado el vínculo entre el uso de la lengua de esta comunidad y la formación de identidad (García-Sánchez 2014). Con el fin de realizar un acercamiento a la cuestión de la formación de la identidad y para entender mejor cómo la población migrante de origen marroquí negocia sus identidades se han analizado datos de dos entrevistas semiestructuradas, realizadas a dos hermanos marroquíes residentes en Granada, España. Para la elaboración del análisis se ha utilizado el marco teórico del chronotope de Bakhtin (1981), posteriormente desarrollado por Blommaert y De Fina (2017). Se pretende demostrar que los dos hermanos negocian sus identidades mediante configuraciones espaciotemporales, vinculando sus prácticas discursivas con las conexiones socio-históricas entre al-Andalus y el mundo arabófono. Los resultados indican que, efectivamente, se puede usar varias configuraciones espaciotemporales en la negociación de identidad de los informantes. Es más, estas configuraciones sirven para negociar o apoyar sus prácticas multilingües en una sociedad principalmente monolingüe.</mods:abstract>
14. <mods:abstract>Despite the large number of Moroccan immigrants in Spain, f ew studies have examined the role of identity in language use of this community (García-Sánchez 2014). To address this gap, the current case study analyzes identity construction in two semi-structured interviews with two Moroccan brothers living in Granada, Spain to understand how they negotiate their identities based on spatiotemporal configurations. I employ Bakhtin's construct of chronotope, which was later developed by Blommaert and De Fina (2017), to understand how the brothers' social identities are negotiated using socio-historical connections between the Arab world and al-Andalus. The results show that identities are socially constructed using various spatiotemporal configurations. Furthermore, these configurations serve to negotiate and support multilingual practices in a predominandy monolingual society.</mods:abstract>

14. <dcterms:abstract>Despite the large number of Moroccan immigrants in Spain, f ew studies have examined the role of identity in language use of this community (García-Sánchez 2014). To address this gap, the current case study analyzes identity construction in two semi-structured interviews with two Moroccan brothers living in Granada, Spain to understand how they negotiate their identities based on spatiotemporal configurations. I employ Bakhtin's construct of chronotope, which was later developed by Blommaert and De Fina (2017), to understand how the brothers' social identities are negotiated using socio-historical connections between the Arab world and al-Andalus. The results show that identities are socially constructed using various spatiotemporal configurations. Furthermore, these configurations serve to negotiate and support multilingual practices in a predominandy monolingual society.</dcterms:abstract>

  13. <dc:description>A pesar del alto número de inmigrantes marroquíes en España, pocos estudios han investigado el vínculo entre el uso de la lengua de esta comunidad y la formación de identidad (García-Sánchez 2014). Con el fin de realizar un acercamiento a la cuestión de la formación de la identidad y para entender mejor cómo la población migrante de origen marroquí negocia sus identidades se han analizado datos de dos entrevistas semiestructuradas, realizadas a dos hermanos marroquíes residentes en Granada, España. Para la elaboración del análisis se ha utilizado el marco teórico del chronotope de Bakhtin (1981), posteriormente desarrollado por Blommaert y De Fina (2017). Se pretende demostrar que los dos hermanos negocian sus identidades mediante configuraciones espaciotemporales, vinculando sus prácticas discursivas con las conexiones socio-históricas entre al-Andalus y el mundo arabófono.
