- The Miradas de Mujeres (Through Women?s Eyes) Festival is an initiative from Mujeres en la Artes Visuales (Women in the Visual Arts), a national non-profit interprofessional association made up of over 400 professionals in the arts sector in Spain. Through this festival, avenues have been opened up to allow women artists to exhibit their works and present themselves as subjects of empowerment within the world of the arts, to move away from being represented to become artists. The festival also brings visibility and recognition to the work of women artists, which takes place in the month of March and whose motto is ?The artist is present?, also the title of the exhibition that MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, 2010 dedicated to the Serbian artist Marina Abramovic. And at last the woman artist is present, currently in 308 venues and 15 autonomous communities, and more than 1000 women participated in this third edition.
- El Festival Miradas de Mujeres es una iniciativa de MAV, Mujeres en la Artes Visuales, una asociación interprofesional y de ámbito estatal sin ánimo de lucro, formada por más de 400 profesionales en el sector de las artes plásticas en España. A través de este Festival, se ha abierto el camino para que las mujeres artistas puedan exponer sus obras y presentarse como sujetos de empoderamiento dentro del mundo de las artes, dejar de ser las representadas y pasar a ser las artistas. Además es un Festival que aporta visibilidad y reconocimiento al trabajo de las mujeres artistas, el cual se lleva a cabo en el mes de marzo y cuyo lema reza ?La artista está presente?, lema que por otra parte es el título de la exposición individual que el MoMA, el Museo de Arte Moderno de Nueva York, dedicó en 2010 a la artista serbia Marina Abramovic. Y finalmente la artista está presente, pues hemos conseguido estarlo en 308 sedes y en 15 Comunidades Autónomas, mientras que son más de 1000 mujeres las que participan en esta tercera edición.
