Descripción:: This research aimed to verify the different available information in the electronic portals of the Brazilian state governments; classifying them according to the Baum & Di Maio (2000) phases of matureness evolution of electronic government. This is a descriptive-qualitative survey about the analysis of multiple cases. The survey�s universe is about the electronic government sites of 26 Brazilian state governments plus the site of the Brazil�s capital (Brasília). Each one of these sites was accessed in order to check their contents. Significant differences about phases of matureness evolution of electronic government were founded and the evidence of a bigger incidence in phase 1 (presence). Also it was possible to identify a difference between two tones: the potentiality of the electronic government tools and the evidenced reality in the analyzed portals. A bigger incidence of communication was verified thus government-citizen instead of citizen-government.; Esta investigación buscó verificar las diferentes informaciones disponibles en los portales electrónicos de los gobiernos estatales del Brasil; clasificándolos de acuerdo con las fases de evolución de maduración del gobierno electrónico de Baum y Di Maio (2000). Este es un estudio descriptivo de naturaleza cualitativa, hecho a partir del análisis de casos múltiples. El universo investigado está compuesto por los portales electrónicos de veintiséis gobiernos estatales de Brasil incluyendo el Distrito Federal (Brasilia). Cada uno de los sitios de los gobiernos ejecutivos estatales fue visitado procediéndose al análisis de su respectivo contenido. Se puede constatar la existencia de diferencias significativas en relación a las fases de maduración de los gobiernos y una mayor incidencia en la fase 1 (presencia). Tampoco fue posible identificar la existencia de un hiato entre la potencialidad de las herramientas tecnológicas del gobierno electrónico y la realidad constatada en los portales. Se verificó una mayor incidencia de comunicación gobierno-ciudadano que ciudadano-gobierno.
